I read too much and kept almost none of it. Newsletters and long reads saved to a tab graveyard, opened once, never finished. BriefWave was the fix — point it at what I was already ignoring and get a short audio brief back in Telegram while the kettle boiled. So I built it. Solo. Design and code.

// the idea

Take written content and hand it back as a daily audio digest that sounded like a person reading it to you, not a screen reader grinding through a wall of text. Somewhere between a podcast and an inbox you could actually clear.

It did exactly what I built it for, which is also why it's archived and not live. A tool of one — it ran while I used it and got shelved when I didn't. No users to let down, no roadmap to mourn. Shipped, learned, put away.
